Advice and Support
School Nurse Team: The Chelmsford School Nurse Team operate a 'drop in' session every other Monday during term time at Kings Road Children's Centre. The sessions run between 3.30 and 4.30 p.m. and no appointments are necessary.
Sessions for the Spring term will be:

6th and 20th February
6th and 20th March
24th April
Theye can offer support and advice on the following topics and any other health issues which may be concerning you.
- day and night wetting
- hearing and vision
- weight and dietary issues
- general physical and emotional health problems
- Sexual Health issues, c-card’s available

Anxiety in Children: Below are some resources that may prove useful in helping children manage their anxiety.
Adult Community Learning (ACL): ACL works on behalf of Essex County Council to increase numeracy and literacy skills across the adult population of Essex. ACL offer a wide range of FREE, face to face tution in Maths and English for rarents, grandparents and carers. For further information cal 0345 603 7635 or visit the ACL website here
Although the school does not endorse or advocae the use of any of particular childminder, details of childcare providers may be found on the Essex County Council website.
A new website launched to help West Essex residents find local health and care services. It will also help people obtain detailed advice and guidance on the most common ailments and symptoms. The tool recommends the best place for treatment and shows which nearby services are open. A Help Health Now app is available from the App Store or Google Play.
Family Lives is a charity offering advice and support in a way that is accessible to all members of the famiy. This is provided through their website, a 24 hour helpline and support groups. They can help with all aspects of family life including child development, issues with schools, parenting and relationship support.
Turn2Us is an organisation that helps peope in financial hardship to gain access to welfare benefits, charitable grants and support services. Help is available either through their website, their free and confidential helpline 09800 8022000 (Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.)
National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC) is a charity campaigning and working for child protection. It can offer advice and support to those concerned about a child through their website or helpline.
Chidline is a service provided by the NSPCC for those aged 18 years or under. The advice and support offered is free and confidential.
Childline have launched an online self-help tool for young people experiencing bullying. Bounce Back aims to help young people understand whether what they are experiencing is bullying.
The Sunflower Children's Centre: A sure start centre providing support, including groups and activities, for families with children under 5 years old.
