Springers and Mini Springers

Springers wraparound care is a care scheme for use by children of the school. It is led by Tracey Brown and her team. Their aim is to provide a quality childcare service to parents, where the children can be safe and happy in a fun environment.
Breakfast and After-School Provision
This facility is to provide care for children whose parents work or have difficulty with before or after-school provision. The provison consists of
- Springers - this is based in the Caretakers House and caters for children from Year 1 to Year 6.
- Mini-Springers - this is based in the Nursery Building for Foundation Stage children that attend the Nursery and Reception classes. Children who attended the Nursery and secure a place in our Reception class will be able to begin school life without losing the familiarity of the nursery before and after school provision. They will retain some contact with their younger peers and nursery staff while making the small step into a more structured learning environment during the day.
We expect to mix Mini-Springers children and Springers children on some occasions so this introduces them to the older children; all the Springers staff; and they begin to gain confidence in the larger school environment. We expect to do this by sharing the outside spaces and bringing small groups of Springers children into the nursery building to play together during the afternoon session.
The breakfast club runs every morning from 7.30 - 8.45 am. Children are brought over to the school by club staff and handed over to a member of staff.
The after-school club runs every evening until 6 pm. Children are collected from the school by the club staff and taken to the safe environment of the club house. The children have a snack and a drink and can take part in the many activities on offer. The children can also be collected from any school-run after school activity within the grounds by prior arrangement.
Current fees are £5.00 for the breakfast club and £13.00 for the after-school club. If your child attends both the breakfast and the after-school club then a reduced rate of £15/day is available.
If you would like to apply for Springers or Mini-Springers please fill in and return our registration forms below or collect a paper copy from the School Office. This can be returned electronically to the Springers email address or via the school.
Holiday Club
There is a Holiday club available at a cost of £30/day 8.30 am - 5.30 pm, with optional early opening and late closing for an additional charge. This covers all activities, transport on days out, snacks, drinks and a light lunch.
